Detroit Based Nigerian-American Artist, Obie Iyoha, Releases First of 7 Visuals, “Flying Nimbus”

Obie Iyoha, otherwise known as “OG The Llama”, is a Nigerian-American rapper, singer, and producer the whole world should know about. A true hidden gem from the Motor City.

Iyoha first stepped unto the scene in 2013 with distinct Lofi-trap & mellow afropop production that accentuate his dream-esque lyricism and calm melodic flows. OG describes his unique sound as “moonlit music”. Something you can vibe and serenade your potential bae to. Being the natural creative he is, Iyoha spent countless hours as a child crafting his own worlds through manga inspired illustrations and animating 2D video games. Later finding his true outlet, music, through a community youth center called “The Neutral Zone”.

Obie is not new to this game as he’s opened for A$AP Rocky, MGK, Big KRIT amongst others. He became a frequent opener for Ann Arbor, Michigan based hiphop duo, “The Black Opera”. They toured together through Europe and Canada, learning the ropes of a touring musician.

Last year in 2018, he released “karat$” a tune dedicated to his brother and to living his best life after suffering a dark period in 2016, something we can all relate to. This genius track was featured on billboard, lyrical lemonade, Tidal rising artist playlist, and Apple Music beats1 radio with Ebro.

Now OG the Llama is preparing the release of his forthcoming EP, “PNKMN” by dropping 7 different audiovisuals titled “Pink Moon Rising”. A different video every week from now. Check out the first video, “Flying Nimbus” below! Make sure to keep up with Obie Iyoha on Twitter & Instagram!
