Last night, the Nigerian Entertainment Awards took their talents to DC and well…there’s a lot to be said. From starting late as expected to having very few of the “confirmed” performers even show up, to not even presenting half of the categories, it was an interesting night to say the least. But for now, here are the Winners of last night’s NEA Award ceremony:

Best Leading Role (Female) in Television:

Lillian Esoro for “3 is A Crowd”

Best Single by a DJ:

“Ada ft Davido” – DJ E Cool

Community Advocate Award:

HarryBaba (for his activism and efforts in uniting Africa talents specifically in the Washington DC Metropolitan area.)

Best Comedy Act:

Charles “Igwe 2pac” Okacha (also the host)

NEA Pioneer Award:

Mr. Gbenga Babalola aka Solitude

Best Afropop Female Artist:

Tiwa Savage

Humanitarian Award:

Tunde Ednut (how?)

Best World DJ (??):

DJ TTB

Hottest Single of the Year:

“Legbegbe” – Mr Real (won over “Soco”)

Awards they didn’t get around time to present: Trailblazer of the year, Male afropop artist, Best female artist, Best lead role in film, Fresh Vibes, and ALBUM OF THE YEAR.

Check out some of the pictures of the night below.
